May 4, 2006. The Consulate had an open house for the American community and German-American organizations in Hamburg. Heads of the Consular-, Political/Economic - and Public Affairs section as well as the Commercial Service, introduced the audience to principal activities e.g. the school outreach program and Mission Germany’s educational and informational resources and services. Attendees included members of the American Clubs, Fulbright alumni, teachers and exchange organizations. The exchange organization Youth for Understanding invited Foreign Service officers from the consulate to speak at their pre-departure seminar for participants in the Congress Bundestag Youth Exchange Program.
